Get as much education as you can while you are young.

Picking a good spouse right off the bat is the best decision you will ever make.

Consider a career where you can work for yourself so that you derive the profit from your work and labor.

Buying a home makes more sense because you get no equity when you rent.

This lesson has stuck with with me since hearing it in high school: believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. It’s good to remember I may not be seeing the whole picture and to be skeptical of anything I hear (and read) until I can verify from different sources.
