1. Solitude makes me happy.
2. Picking up all of his bedclothes and piles of receipts and shoving it all in the closet and closing the door. That makes me happy.
3. The prospect of being single next year. That REALLY makes me happy!

Putting my family above all I'm left with these three:

1) The orange cat that resides with me.
2) My townhome that I spent last year shopping for ($20k in new stuff... moved away from minimalism and college style furnishings)
3) Attending mass.

1 Enjoying a beautiful summer afternoon with my four legged friend outside in the middle of paradise.

2 Relaxing with my amazing wife in our backyard hot tub under the stars and palm trees. While enjoying an adult beverage or two.

3 Smoking a brisket with friends and family, gathered around the fire pit. Laughter, disappointment, excitement while watching the big game together on the big screen under the stars.

So many things...I'm happy by nature, but if I have to pick 3:

New adventures...going new places and experiencing the beauty and people.

Laughing with family and friends

All things "beachy"...warm sand in my toes, salt spray, swimming in the swells, moon on the water, the sound of the waves, etc...

I also have way more than three....but as I shuffle around in life lately there are some things that I truly appreciate:

Our little house (the Love Shack, also randomly called The Hut or the Hovel). It's small but it's ours and it's comfortable and warm and we have space around us, trees and land, and a small pond....quiet

Sitting outside on a warm, sunny day......that lazy, lethargic'y feeling you get......just soaking it up....maybe reading and falling asleep with the dog and my husband.....and we are all sleeping outside

Anywhere near water......the sound, the smell, the light sparkling off it, rivers, lakes, ponds, it almost doesn't matter. Even rain.....I love rain.
