What things do you regret not doing when you were younger and what would you change if you could start again and live your life over? Mine would be not going to college, something I regret all the days of my life. I know what I would have loved as a career but it's too late now. I try to make up for it by continuing to educate myself and try to learn something new each and every day. OK, I'll never have that degree but I won't stop learning. That's one of the reasons I post in this forum. I enjoy reading your posts - I might not agree with them all, but reading them is an education in and of itself.

No saying college would have led to a career, depending on what you studied and where.

I regret not following the headstart I had in journalism, but as a laid off journalist friend of mine pointed out, no say it would have worked out.

I am another who wishes I finished college. I also wish I had gone into the military. I have had lots of interesting jobs in a variety of fields, so I suppose it was my path. I retired last year and think all my different jobs gave me the ability to learn alot of different skill sets, so I'm AOK with that now.

I've worked with many journalists over the years and, as interesting as that career may be, it can also be subject to the whims of senior editors and other higher-ups. It can be highly political and not always as steady and secure a job as desired.

Is this a question from you to retired people or those close to retirement?

If not, it will potentially bring in a ton of people in their 40's and 50's (even some 30's perhaps) who are not retired nor even close to retirement nor of older age. (I know you say 'live your life over').

Yes, it's basically a question primarily aimed at retired people.

I regret not reading my whole bible cover to cover when I was younger. It is what I was looking for my whole life.

I wish that I had completed college. I am grateful that I was able to at least attend college and, if all goes as planned, I will at least be able to still graduate with an associates. It's never too late.
