Reps for this post.

A Baby Boomer and a Gen-xer go into a bar and the bartender says...

Amen. I just read MM's profile. It's a man with three kids. It would be funny if they whine about his generation the way he is whining about ours when they grow up.

The thought of that certainly makes me "lighten up."

Funny line of thought here - made me laugh -
boomer with a sense of humor that thinks all the generations are pretty funny in their own way -
off to gaze at my navel and per chance,
change a light bulb..................

Wow - two month old thread.

But I went back to the previous page and got a couple of really good laughs and it made me realize that is something most boomers do: Laugh. At ourselves as much as at everything around us.

If we are defined by nothing else laughter it is.

So it is the fault of the Boomers that the OP's herd can't seem to drag their butts off the couch?

The OP spent a considerable amount of time last year starting super-negative threads about Baby Boomers.

I and few others finally let it be known we were tired of it and a new "Whine about the Boomers" Forum should be started. Someone got the hint and it stopped. For some reason this thread got drug back out of the slime and into daylight.

like the japanese emperor on december 7th, 1941, I have awakened the "sleeping giant" - or something to that effect / i will now not write anything more so this thread can die a natural death ................................. (die, die, die...................) - i have WAYYYYYYYY too much time on my hands (actually i'm avoiding what i have to do......)

To be honest this did end up being a pretty funny thread. As I said I went back over the last couple of pages and got some good laughs out of it so I think maybe TriciaJeanne did us a favor of sorts.

Back to OP's original post and US News article: curious if any other boomers are deciding to convert their 401k or IRA to a Roth IRA - seems to be the latest craze here in Florida among many financial planners.
