This may not be a popular topic to bring up but the truth is sometimes inconvenient. (as Al G. says)

Michigan is one of three states that have lost population since the 2010 census. The others are Rhode Island and Maine.

This is sad...RI could be so much more.

Default Rhode loses tiny percentage of population

RI's population fell by .12% or 1600 people according to recent figures between 2010 and 2011. The pop is probably steady when one considers under reporting of immigrants.

Not only that, but I believe the data on that came from number of people renting Uhauls!!!!!!!

Of course, no one bothered to check if they were moving or just going down to rent for the winter- so the whole thing is pretty silly.

If people are leaving its probably due to the economy. I was actually gonna move to providence but chose boston instead because i found a job there immediately.

I just knew it wasn't a big deal...now I feel better.

Golly, For a minute it looked like Rhode Island was one of the slowest growing states in the Country.

I didn't look at it as a positive thing... I didn't realize RI is the only state with immigrants, and Uhauls. What was I thinking?

Yep, I stead of loosing 1,600 tax payers, I didn't think of the less traffic theory, plus the fact, that we all won't have to wait in lines as much, with less people.

yeah...Now I'm pumped...i really don't know what I would do without you guys,

thank you all for helping me.
