I don't know what part of NProv you've "driven through" but if you don't want to live there, you were definitely not in one of the nicer areas. Some parts are very nice.

I don't know where you moved from, but you've really not put a lot of effort into finding something. You were asked if you looked in the ProJo or on Craig's list. You want a nice area but are against Burrillville specifically and consider yourself "stuck" in the northern part of RI. I'd also bet that you haven't checked out the village names in each of the towns so that you can recognize the apts that are for rent in the areas you are willing to consider.

In looking, I've discovered your biggest problem is a pet. Wake Robin in Lincoln is lovely and, and my Mom lived at Wethersfield Commons, which is across from the Warwick Mall. Very quiet and safe area, with pool and tennis courts. I did a little search while on hold on the phone, and I found an adorable 2 bedroom in a Victorian in East Greenwich, which would mean it's about 3-4 minutes from the highway. It's on 64 Reynolds Street and the realtor is listed at Debbie Chennisi at Keller Williams. And most importantly, it says pets are negotiable. Rent is $1,200 per month. Good luck!!!

I agree...there are not many nice complexes in RI. And many are overpriced for what they consider 'luxury'! You might want to try a private home or condo but be careful. I agree with N. Providence...I would try Lincoln or North Smithfield. In Lincoln, I have a friend who lives at Kirkbrae?? Not sure of the spelling...beautiful & safe. And it is a complex. She pays 1000.00 for a one B/R. Not sure on their pet policy, though. Kirkbraeproperties.com Oh, they have 2 B/R apartments for around 1200.00, too! GOOD LUCK!
