We want to relocate to the Richmond area, preferably just south west. Are there any elementary ed. Openings in yhe area. Or could someone point us in the right direction. She is absolutely amazing with children and its her passion to teach. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a good day!

Check out Henrico, Chesterfield, and Hanover school systems. I wouldn't recommend Richmond City Schools.

The source for anything education in Virginia. Pleas realise before you start the process that Virginia is a right to work state without teachers unions; many other posters have had total melt downs over this issue and it's the way it is. Also please research what the potential salaries are going to be because there may be a drastic difference from what she is used to especially if coming from the NYC Metro area.

Good Luck...

thank you so much for the information! She actually is fairly fresh out of college, last may. And we live in a small town just south of binghamton, no where near NYC. And from what we've seen the salaries are a little higher in VA then our area of NY. The reason we want to relocate is because our local area, well almost all of NY is not hiring teachers. VA Yankee, I see your link didn't come up in your post? Once again thanks for the information. Anyone with more information would be great! Thanks
