I would assume with several stores slated to close by beginning of November and a 3 month rehab of stores.... March or so at the earliest.

Nobody knows. Nuckols was supposed to be the first to open since their putting it up themselves but that's not slated to open until 2018, there was an update a couple months ago saying it was running ahead of schedule but still no date. Originally West park and Carytown were supposed to be the next two but their not into "real" timelines so it's anybodies guess.

There has also been news stories about Martins that will be converted to Publix, I guess once they arrive we can start chomping at the bit for Lidl and any others that are on the horizon.

Has the novelty of Wegmans worn off already?

Publix's Nuckols Place store in Glen Allen, Henrico County, will be the first of the greater Richmond area stores to open in the summer of 2017. Three of ten Martin's stores Publix acquired will close in November to convert to Publix.

Publix has made an internal call-out for management for the new stores to move to the area by next summer.

Publix could have four stores in Henrico County open by summer 2017. The acquisition of ten Martin's stores and one announced store has Publix with 11 stores planned in Richmond, Colonial Heights, Henrico County, and Chesterfield County.

You mean underpricing 5 things nobody wants, putting it on a sign and then overcharging the rest of the store gets old? Ya don't say!

What's funny is people in Richmond don't realize the reason Wegmans keeps creeping further south is because the places that are used to having them shop elsewhere. Beautiful stores, great con job.

Silly! Wegman's is not just about the presentation, but mostly the customer service and quality. If you want no frills shopping, you've got Aldi and soon Lidl. ...Or you can go to Food Lion. There is a difference. The real con is Whole Foods.
