The store the above post is referring to must be Scandinavian Designs. There is one in Fair Oaks and the other in Rocklin. The other locations are all in the Bay Area. Very modern and stylish furniture. Hope this helps.

Scandinavian Designs

There's also the Italian store that was located at Town & Country Shopping Center (Marconi & Fulton), now moving...not sure where. I think that is called Natazzi....or something like that.

Sounds like they were looking for antique furniture too (Art Deco) so it's not that far out of bounds. In both cases I'd recommend stopping at the big antique fair every second Sunday under the W/X freeway between 20th and 22nd--five acres of vendors selling all sorts of stuff--and across the street, the Antique Company who tend to have a good stock of art deco things. There is also another antique store or two down 21st Street past Broadway near 1st Avenue, I think.

There is another antique row in East Sacramento on 57th Street between H and J that are worth a look.

There are a few more modern/high-end furniture places downtown and on Del Paso but I never go there so I'm not much help--I think there are a couple on Del Paso Boulevard proper, and also another great antique store and a furniture store called Taber Furniture that carries both new and antique furnishings. Not sure what "mirror furniture" is--mirrors as a piece of furniture, or furniture that is covered with mirrors?

So, I have a different opinion than you do. I don't consider antiques to be modern. No need to get upset because I disagree.... I did give you 2 leads.
