Hello,
I would like to know if anyone knows any information reagarding the above cities. such as, school, crime, population... Is it a nice town, are the people nice, etc?

I live in Elk Grove, and I am so ready to move... Actually, have been thinking of it for a while. It's gone down hill and It hurts me to say it. When I bought 10 years ago, it was so nice and now it's just horrible.... I have read good things on Galt, but with the new mall going in, will it be like EG soon....

Any opinons/Info please help

Default Galt a stones throw from EG

I wouldn't bother moving to Galt from EG, it will be the same in another 10 years. We moved here 7 years agao and have seen it change from a small town to commuters.

Hell I think its important to read about the mall going in. That is more revenue, bigger police department, fire department, bigger City in general and more jobs!!! Alot of more jobs! When is this mall going to get moving? We just bought a 5 acre ranch in GALT, and I am thinking we made a really good decision now.

I have a friend who lives in Herald. It's small. Total population is < 1500. From Galt, you take the Twin Cities Rd towards the Rancho Seco towers. As I recall, there is a crossroads & a couple of stores. Most people live out in the surrounding countryside. Most homes are older ranch style on acreage. There are no jobs to speak of out there, and most people commute into Sacramento area or Lodi/Stockton. My friend drives to EDH. I think there is an elementary school, but I assume the older children would be bused to Galt. some local info can be found at Home page for the Herald Community Club in Herald, California

It is strikingly beautiful out there, and if you love the country then Herald just might be for you!
