While it can be uncomfortably hot for a few hours in the afternoon, the low humidity makes it far more bearable than the steamy Midwestern summers. The mornings and evenings are extremely pleasant - often 30 degrees cooler than the day's high temp, thanks to the Delta Breeze.

We love eating lunch and dinner outside on the patio, and the weather here is perfect for that. My neighborhood is very shady, so even though most of our windows face south and west, we rarely use the AC, even when temps reach the mid-90s.

The winters can be a little gray - especially when you have gotten used to the endless summer sun - but I really don't miss the snow, sleet and ice. And if you really need your fix of snow, the Sierras are a short drive away.

We had an option of moving to the San Francisco area, and one of the reasons we decided against it was because of the chilly, foggy summers (and, of course, the exorbitant cost of living.) Now, we can afford to own our own home here and visit the City when the weather is nice.

One more perk: with the low humidity, bad hair days are few and far between.. lol.
Let's not forget all the dust and forest fire smoke. What a joy it is, living a few miles south of SAC, to have the sun blotted out by smoke so thick, one cannot see the homes across the street. But we also have the joy of Newsom, Pelosi, Feinstein, and a one party state. That alone may not change temperatures, but certainly raises ones blood pressure to boiling. I run my A/C all year to keep the pollutants out of my house and lungs. I frequently wash my solar panels. After one day, they appear as though they have just come through a dust storm.

I moved here in 2018 from the east coast, mid Atlantic region, Chesapeake Bay area, alternatively known as the other left coast, where temperatures have no moderation and find extremes on both ends of the weather spectrum. A move I highly regret. I am soon closing on a home outside this insane state to an area that actually has useable infrastructure and taxes actually go to keep roadways navigable. With gas over $5.00 a gal. on a good day, one must feel privileged to call oneself a Californian. If that is not enough, California has become a human hazardous waste dump with feces and urine on every part of the state, basically a free open toilet system, with crack pipes, spent lighters, condoms and used clothing, paraphernalia, shopping carts, tents, and broken down stolen bicycles.

One cannot walk the streets without tripping over an unhoused individual(s)(s)(s)... Thanks in large part to the sanctuary state status. The once beautiful city of San Francisco, Is now a Mecca for the unhoused and all forms of deviancy. Defunded police love protecting the city from who knows what anymore, as LA becomes increasingly a war zone from major gang influence and police refuse to enter some areas. Insurance companies are leaving in droves and refuse to write coverage anymore. What insurance is left to be had, is in the surplus lines, Fair Plan, or reinsurance side where premiums are extreme.

The days of the Beach Boys, long hair, great music, and pot, have turned into hip-hop, meth, and fentanyl. Please migrate to California, you'll love the high prices, taxes, bad roads, and holier than thou attitudes. As for me; I'm getting the Flock outta here. While its still safe and possible.

Yep, it felt like a normal October as well, got some very warm days 90's, but equally balanced with some cool days, 60's, just the right amount of rain. Between the cool days, rain and leaves turning color it felt like Fall.

Majority though in the 70's and 80's with lows in the upper 40's, low 50's perfect for outdoor activities.

Just came in from Another rainy wet day in Sacramento, going on 3-4 wet days in a row.

Sacramento averages a Wet Winter no bones about it.

Last January 2023, Sacramento had 17 consecutive days of rain.

So last season was very WET, especially considering most of it came in a 3 month period; We had 25.75 inches at my City of Sacramento home, how anyone can deny that is not Wet for 3 months is beyond me.

That's 17.17 inches of rain per month for 3 months.

Dec 20, currently Heavy Rain:
Sac: 53F at 2pm, mild, some would say cold, certainly not warm by any means.

Sacramento averages 58-60 days of rainy days per year.

90-95% of our rain is in the 3 months of winter which

equals 52-57 days of rainy days in the 3 months of winter.

We’ve barely averaged 20 rainy days during winter in the last decade. You’re making up figures.

Rather unscientific to ignore the other approx. 17 decades and 170 years of observed data.
