I have an employee who travels and has claimed a Worker Comp injury due to "fall on ice in parking lot" while working in your fair city. It's my understanding that snow and/or ice on the ground is pretty rare.

Thanks to anyone who can help solve this mystery!!!!!!
In the city of Sacramento itself, that would be very unlikely. So far this winter it has been in the low to mid 30's on several mornings but the duration of temperatures in that range is short lived and not long enough to produce icy conditions.

It never snows in Sacramento. Ice at 5pm? It's not that cold here during the day.

was his hotel IN Sacramento? Do you know where it was exactly? Are you always this suspicious of him? Does he have any particular reason to want to stick it to you!?!

Actually it does snow here sometimes. It's just extremely rare. I don't remember the last time it did but it was many years ago. One winter in the early 70's it snowed several inches and stayed on the ground for about 3 days.

As far as ice in a parking lot at 5pm on 1/24, no way. Not natural ice anyway. If someone dumped a bag of ice on the ground and he slipped on that, that's another story.

I don't know if I would go so far as to say that is snows here sometimes as sometimes means once and while. The last time is snowed here (anyone correct me if I am wrong) was about 1987. 21 years ago is next to never.

As for ice at 5pm-not a chance.
