Looking for advice on best way to find a new pad. I've determined that midtown, East Sac, downtown are the areas that I want to concentrate in (in that order). Do I need to get a realtor (any suggestions) or going through Craigslist and SacBee is good enough?

Looking for a 1Br, preferably 6month lease, and flexible on monthly rent (willing to pay up to get conveniences). What would you folks that know the area well suggest? Thanks for helping

Default You don't need a realtor

Sacramento doesn't have rent control, so its fairly easy to find a place to rent. In general, landlords if they advertise are going to advertise either on Craigslist or in the Bee. In the neighborhoods you are looking at, there are also some landlords just put signs in the window so it might make some sense to just drive or bike around.

Thanks. I will take a drive and see what I can find.

I see that there are a bunch of new lofts for rent, at a premium to the average apartment. Any opinions as to if they are worth it? Any to stay away from?

Finally, anyone familiar with "Park McKinley Apartments" across from the park?
