which of them you'd consider less religious?
None.
All of these towns have a large number of churches/religious organizations. One of the biggest churches with multiple branches throughout the area is based in Granite Bay, Bayside. That said, there are plenty of non-church people in these towns also. I'd say the least churched area in Sacto would be the midtown area.

The Sacramento area is one of the least religious places in the country. You aren't going to find a large number of religious people in any one area. What you will find in the Sacramento area is that the most religious people are immigrants. Specifically, Mexicans and Russians. But even then, most of them aren't religious.

Also keep in mind that the number of churches isn't a reflection of how many people in an area are religious. Every place in the country has numerous churches that date back some time ago when various groups of immigrants arrived. Those churches were kind of the center of various ethnic communities in the past. Today you will see huge churches throughout the country to impress people. In part, religion is a huge business in this country and a lot of money is invested in it, even in the not so religious regions of the country.

That's an interesting opinion, and certainly not my observation as a Christian. Churches aren't built for the purpose of impressing people or all about money, but I can certainly see how someone who isn't into "religion" would develop that opinion. I would agree there are people who take advantage of their authority in the church (& other organizations) and those are the people I would call "x in name only, or in some politics, a RINO. I would have to agree that many traditional religions/churches, such as Catholicism or an Orthodox Church, are related to immigrant populations. I don't see that with many of the mega evangelical christian churches in Sacramento, such as Bayside, Capitol Christian, Adventure in Roseville, Lakeside in Folsom, Rolling Hills in EDH. Even the most recent Russian immigrants have their mega churches such as Trinity. There's a huge difference between being religious (name only) vs actually believing & practicing ones beliefs.

It most certainly does here, in a little retirement town up in the pines by Chico called Paradise. If you aren't religious, you won't find friends here at all.

That method isn't very effective without a lot of prayer & fasting. Christians need to follow their owners manual if they want to be successful in sharing the gospel.

I can completely relate to be totally turned off by over enthusiastic Christians (or other religions). That happened to me too via my ex-chiropractor. I hated it. I loved them but did not want to hear their message. But several years later when I hit my rock bottom, I remember what they shared with me and it changed my life.
