Hi friends. I was looking at a rental home in the Union Park area of Midvale. I am just wondering if anyone can tell me about that area. It is around 550 east 7500 south, not far from the park. I just wanted to know about the safeness of the area, etc. I can go look at it obviously, we aren't too far away, but looking and living there are two different things. Just wondered if anyone had any experience in that area.

Thank you!

Well, I have never lived there, so I can't comment first hand. I don't remember hearing about anything too terrible about that area though and I LOVE it there!

I'm not familiar with that exact, precise area, but I would recommend visiting it to get a feel because Midvale can be very hit and miss with parts quite run down. If you go not very far west of there and onwards past state street to the west part of Midvale it can be very, very sketchy. I avoided looking at apartments in Midvale and Fort Union because there are a ton of them there and with that concentration of people there seems to be higher crime and I would not personally feel safe- not to mention some of the apartments are extremely run down. If you're concerned about safety I would recommend calling the Midvale Police Department and asking about incidents near your address.

Oh my gosh Calibelle, that's like within walking distance from me (a fairly good walk but you could walk ) I think it's a great area.
