I've got a job offer at UVU, it's a good gig, very much what I'm looking for career-wise, but I live in Salt Lake (the Avenues) and I don't have any interest in moving down to Utah County. So what's that commute like? Crazy? Too long? I'd be going down 4 days a week, during normal commuting hours (most days at least, there will be some flexibility it sounds like). Is the frontrunner an option? I don't relish driving so far in the snow and I'm all for public transit if it's practical, but I don't currently take the frontrunner at all, so I'm not sure if using the train will be possible/worthwhile. What are your thoughts?

FrontRunner is nice.

It looks like it's about an hour from the North Temple Station to Orem. Getting across downtown will probably be the most aggravating part. And from downtown to the Murray Station always seemed to take longer than it should have, but it's because there is a spot of shared track.

If anything it's the fare cost that will be bad. UVU probably has discount passes though.

Keep in mind, sometimes the frontrunner comes late! Sometimes 5-15 minutes late, so that may impact your shift start times. It has made me late to work before. Also, rare but worth mention, if there is an accident over the tracks, you are pretty much stuck for hours on end.

Otherwise, it is reliable most of the time, clean, and convenient.
