This is a generic question - and I'll be doing research - but what is job market like in SLC nowadays? My background is in marketing, communications, public relations and fundraising. My wife and I graduated from the U about 10 years ago (we are living in Anchorage now) and we decided we would like to move back to Utah on a permanent basis.

The job market in Utah is just about better than any where else in the United States right now, however Utah is still in a recession with the rest of the country. There aren't many jobs in politics in Utah right now (public relations, fundraising). There were, but when Governor Huntsman left, he forced many of those jobs to move to other states with more robust political campaigns. I would however strongly suggest looking into Nevada. Nevada is going to be a hot spot going into 2010 and 2012.
