You should be able to find a nice German American lady in the SA area!

I'm half German/Half Mexican (a few generations American on each side). Where I'm from in CA, that was VERY uncommon. Not a lot of folks of German descent there. My siblings and I were the oddballs. So it was funny when I cam to SA and discovered everyone was a mix like me

As for experiencing German culture/heritage in San Antonio, I suggest becoming a member of Beethoven's Mannerchor.

My God, what's the problem with everybody?
is it too difficult to understand that sometimes people like to hang out with people from their same culture/nationality/sub-culture/religion, etc, etc, etc.

For whatever reason, <Westerntraveller> wants to live in a place with a lot of germans.
Maybe he/she wants to practice his/her german, likes volkswagens, likes the Bundesliga (German soccer), likes bratwurst (German sausage) or whatever.

But I'm amazed that people seem to be offended by that.

I know I've said this story many times,
but it was funny when I first went to Fredericksburg and I kept on driving around looking for "The German town".
In Venezuela, I lived 1/2 hour away from a German town (Colonia Tovar) so I thought Fredericksburg was going to be similar

I'm from CA too. We do have people of German descent here but for whatever reasons mixed marriages between them(all whites for that matter)are not nearly as common as in Texas.
