If you stay in SA you will regret it, unless you're into lazy strippers and late night tacos. Maybe you and your buddies can take a late night stroll down the River walk reminiscing over childhood stories and swapping advice on married life and all it's splendors.

Make that drive to Austin, it'll be well worth it. The bars, clubs, and overall debauchery Austin has to offer outweighs San Antonio easy. Definitely a bachelor/frat boy friendly city.

Whatever you do be safe out there. No drunk driving and no stealing tigers from Mike Tyson.

For accommodations, stay at the Driskill Hotel. Right smack dab on heart of 6th St.

Downtown Austin Hotels | The Driskill Hotel | Historic Texas Hotels

I'd inquire in the Austin forum.

THREAD REVIVAL!

This question came up on a different forum, and I am surprised that there aren't any suggestions as how to have a classy bachelor party in San Antonio!

So I will ask again for any recommendations on places to go for someone who wants to do something a but more high-brow!

Cheers! M2

The best and most memorable party would be quality time with your friends. Any restaurant would do. Don't advertise it as a "bachelor" party if you want to keep strippers away.

Or else have it at someone's home.

For a more reasonable Austin hotel, try the Radisson at 111 East Cesar Chavez downtown.

For a bachelor party in SA, most of the entertainment is near 410, so maybe start with steaks and booze at a nice place like Flemings and then hit the circuit. I'd imagine if you call ahead to some clubs they may offer specials to get you there.
