@DexterCat-I never said I had a law degree, just stating what I thought and asking a question, no reason to be mean. Moderator cut: off topic/personal I know SA has a curfew and I don't have a problem with that just wondering of an apartment complex can make up rules as they go along. Just wondering might be next if they can. You seem like one of the old and bitter seniors living at the complex that thinks kids should have to stay inside all the time. Not going to happen. I don't hate the police and do abide by their rules and I don't like our president. But that is my opinion.

If it's in the lease that YOU signed, I don't see what the argument is.

that is still part of your lease. every apartment complex i have lived at has had some type of rule sheet that they reserve the right to change when they want.

read your lease and im sure you'll find a section that deals specifically with this.

It's most likely already in the lease...the note was most likely making sure everyone was aware of the policy.

My kids are 11,3,2 and they are in by 10pm but I don't think the manager should be able to tell me what to do with my kids. I don't even think this is legal since it only applies to kids and not everyone, some form of discrimination, I would think. Can anyone tell me if it is legal?
What's your point? Your kids are in at 10, anyway. Are you planning on sending your toddlers out for a midnight stroll? These rules are made to keep undisciplined brats from keeping the neighbors up at night. People need to get up for work in the morning. Have you ever considered the fact the rules keep the place quiet so hard working people like yourself can get a decent night's sleep? Maybe it's also for the children's safety? If you have three kids, you must have more important things to worry about, do you not? By the way, it probably IS legal. They CAN tell you what to do with your kids. Deal with it. Your kids will just have to wait until they are 17 to hang out all night in the parking lot. Move on already.

OMG, can a person ask a question on here without people jumping down their throat? It was a simple question and if you don't have anything to add to the answer why are you responding? Thanks to everyone that gave me an answer and to the ones that just wanted to complain about my question, get a life.
