Agreed, this is a test for our city. I will be buying tickets for sure. I would LOVE to have an MLB team here.

Ditto. I think sitting out there in the short homerun porch would be amazing. Lots of chances at catching a ball!

I'll probably be buying tickets, even though as a diehard National League fan, I can't stand American League baseball.
Yes, yes, yes, and yes, right down to being an NL fan.

My husband and I will be there, with our nephews in tow!

But I agree completely that the location of the AT&T Center has got to be listed among the top 2 or 3 boondoggles in San Antonio's history.
Out of curiosity what would be number one? And yes the location is ridiculous. Although I think it had something to do with the rodeo. I'm going to Monday's game and we usually eat on the way since there isn't anything over there. Except for Gervin's place which....I'll pass.

Well...I guess we'll have to settle for UTSA football, monster truck shows, HS football, NCAA bball, etc. in the meantime.

Wow, they get this awesome sports venue to happen when i decide to move to STL?? Dammit. I was also too late to play ball in high school (they created a team after I graduated). I'm always late on things...but I do have the awesome Busch stadium about 2 blocks from my apartment. Keep the seat warm for me, Linda!
