It was a small turn out, but a BEAUTIFUL day and fun was had by all that showed!

First, thanks so much PopsGuysRule for all your hard work and efforts...especially given your VERY hetic week! We appreciate your efforts and enjoyed the perfect setting and beautiful day in the park together!

Latinocowboy and his beautiful wife Michelle and their wonderful dog Doris; Jules07 and her group of lovely little ladies; Slaleman and his PRECIOUS little daughter; and my Darling Hubby and I joined PopsGuys to spend a lazy afternoon right besides the river watching the world go by and sharing stories. Sure missed those of you that could not make it, but glad to meet the new folks that did.

Again, it is good to connect with good folks and not having been out to Brackenridge in so many years, such a wonderful relaxing afternoon has made me decide to make it down to enjoy that wonderful park more often. This forum sure has a lot of great folks as members, and I am always grateful when we can meet and get to know each other better.

Hi all,
I am glad you had a good event.

I turned out but, couldn't tell which group was you! It seemed that each and every space was taken, and each picnic table and group of them as well. I realized that I couldn't stop at each one and ask. So, I figured it'd have to be my loss.

It did look like a great day, glad it went well!

Gen

Sounds like a great time!! One of these days I hope to make it to a meet and greet. It would be so cool to put some faces with these names.

Sorry we couldn't make it, the dd's 6yr b-day party was today and it was INSANE. We also stole a few other forum peeps that regularly show up for the meet ups so you can blame me next time we get together. Slaleman I'm with sapphire on this one, you're lucky we didn't show up, we'd have stolen that little cutie in a heartbeat!

Uhh uhh uhhhh!!!
I ALREADY HAVE DIBS ON THAT LITTLE DARKHAIRED DARLING RACHEL!!

She was just an absolute precious delight!!
How blessed you are Slaleman!!! and thanks for turning out....

More later, but just wanted to respond re this little sweetie....

Too tired now, but have lots of good things to say about the wonderful wonderful folk I met today. I had almost forgotten that I was scheduled at San Antonio PD tonight. One night a month, I serve at one of their substations as a Victims' Advocate.
If any victims of domestic violence that have called an officer out want to come in or call in to speak with us, we have information and reassurance to share with them. Information on how to stay safe, how to access available community resources, help them develop a safe plan and escape plan and, of course, just the ability to have someone to talk to, if that's what they need. We are there until 2AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
MORE LATER ....

I am so sorry, Gen, that we missed you and that you came all that way and couldn't find us.
Even though we put this to a vote, and the park won out, I would NOT recommend a public park next time. You can't assure parking, and although I posted signs on trees near the roadway, they were small and hard to see.

Again, I'm sorry you made the trip all the way down there only to have to turn around and leave.....
Hope we catch you next time, Gen.....
