I'm planning a vacation in San Antonio and will have a 4 year old and an 11 year old to entertain. I' m soliciting opinions of Sea World and Six Flags

I have a seven year old and an 11 year old. We had a Sea World membership last summer. We chose Sea World rather than Six Flags because my 7 year old is very petite and wouldn't be tall enough to go on most of the rides at Six Flags. I don't think it's as hot at Sea World because there are trees and it doesn't sit down inside a quarry like Six Flags, so it gets more breeze. There are things for smaller kids to do. Like any theme park, there are many, many opportunities to spend your money...when we went, we would leave for meals (there's a McDonalds right down the street) because it was a lot cheaper, but it means a lot more walking.

Those ages I would think Seaworld would be a better choice...some of the rides at Fiesta Texas are geared towards teens more than kids, but heck I LOVE Seaworld. Our kids are all grown and gone and I got a season pass!

They do charge extra for the waterpark, but that helps make it a LITTLE (key word here is LITTLE) less crowded than when free.

Yes...you can buy tickets to just SeaWorld main park itself or you can buy tickets to SeaWorld and Aquatica. But you can't buy tickets to just Aquatica.

We have done season passes for both because of the kids (5 and 3). Chose Fiesta this year because we're there often and the water park isn't extra. However, kids loved sea world as well. Take your pick. They'll love either of them.

Not sure if you've been to Sea World Orlando but be aware that Sea World San Antonio is much smaller than the one in Orlando. I haven't been to the watermarks.

I would recommend Sea World over Six Flags. The Six Flags here in the Summer gets pretty ghetto.

we are season passholders at Sea World since 2010. We love it! Our girls are 5 and 7 and it has been worth every penny. You can find coupons occasionally, just be on the lookout!
