I am looking for advice on where to sit for a laser light show (Pink Floyd) at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio.

Most seats are pretty good, I think. The way they direct the lasers, I'm pretty sure that a lot of it will be overhead, no matter where you sit. The one time I went, a long time ago, we sat near the front and they were great, but it seemed that if we looked up and back there was a ton going on back there. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house for that.

They used to have these shows at the old HemisFair Arena. Wow, long ago.

Sorry I'm late replying on the post.

If you are into the "lasers" more than anything, DEFINITELY get balcony seats. With "floor seats" you can't see the lasers unless you "look up" to the ceiling. If you are more into the music and don't care about the lasers, floor seats are good too.

Almost every year, our family goes. We like the laser show, but the main reason we go is the Pink Floyd music! It's the closest thing to a Pink Floyd "concert" that you can get.

Last year, I recorded "most" of the Pink Floyd laser light show with my high definition camcorder when we had "floor seats." In my computer, I ripped the music from the audio CDs, used some editing software to edit the video to add the "music cd" audio rather than the "recorded-laser-show-audio" (with cheers, clapping, etc)...and it came out great. I burned it to a "blu ray" disc so it maintains the high definition quality of the video from when I filmed it.

This past Saturday, we had balcony seats. I wasn't able to get any footage this time (too high up), but the laser show was great to see from up there and the music was great as always.
