Any suggestions for a good restaurant in the vicinity of the AMC or Bijou besides the one's I already mentioned?

The Tip Top is on Fred Rd. and people rave about that place--the Bijou is at Crossroads, right? I haven't been to either place.

I am sorry, I confused the Bijou with the Realto where the Galaxy used to be. Top Top is an excellent choice, certainly one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks and onion rings in town. If you travel a little further down, where West Ave. meets Fredricksberg, there is a Mexican restaurant called La Jacala that has been family owned and operated for over 40 years. They've got some great food.

Papa Dante's is fabulous as is Bangkok Thai Cuisine. If you live in the NE area, you have to try them out.

Bud Jones is my favorite Chicken Fried Steak place, but tip top is also delicious. If you are a fan of chicken friend steak, Lulu's on main is another good place.

For burgers and drinks, I just tried M.K Davis and it was smaller than I thought, but great food for a great prices.

My favorite Chinese is off Fredericksburg and Callaghan called Lai Wah's.

I haven't been to the Bijou but Tip Top is worth a trip at least once, if only to be able to say you have been there. But be sure to take cash - when we went, credit/debit wasn't an option.

Aladdins on Stone Oak Pkwy/1604 is great! I just ate there just last week. I had yet to find a good Falafel wrap in this town before they opened.
A favorite of mine in the Stone Oak area is Dulce Vida Cocina & Cantina on the corner of Huebner and Blanco Rd. next to Double Daves Pizza. Great food, attentive service, good drinks and the nicest owners. I don't know them, they are just nice people and I like the fact they are out greeting you not hiding in the back.
Pizza place: Julians New York Style on Bitters near West Ave.
Mexican: Mamacitas 8030 I10 West- great healthy choices not cooked in lard!
