I was watching this jennifer lopez bio on E where they talked about the filming of the Selena movie in the alamodome. I was wondering what other movies have been filmed here in san antonio. The only ones I know are Selena, Miss Congeniality, I think Eddie with whoopi goldberg.....Im not sure what else.

Off the top of my head I can only think of Still Breathing with Brendan Fraser. However a complete search on imdb.com will net you 199 listings of TV shows and movies shot in SA: http://www.imdb.com/List?endings=on&...20Texas,%20USA

San Antonio offers incentives and assistance to film production companies above and beyond what the state of Texas offers. Still it's not enough to overcome many of the incentives offered by states such as New Mexico and Louisiana. For more details visit http://www.sanantoniocvb.com/film/.

A movie in the late 80's called Lost Angels was shot mostly in SA (some of it is in CA). I saw some of the filming in Elm Creek, which was done at Don Strange's house. They drove a car into his swimming pool.

It's an older movie (80's), but Cloak & Dagger was filmed in San Antonio.

LOL! And in that thread someone posted that a PREVIOUS thread discussed movies shot in San Antonio. Some topics keep cycling back around - never hurts to do a search before posting

A girl I dated for a while was dating one of the Strange son's (sounds kinda wierd) and was there for the filming also.

But did you know that the film "28 days" :

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0191754/

had some scenes filmed at the Don Strange Ranch in Welfare (just north of Boerne)?

The rope scene in the movie is filmed on their back 50 acres on their Rope Challenge Course:

My ranch is just down the road, drive by all of the time (when I was in the states).

"Cloak and Dagger" and "Knight Rider 2000" probably had the most shots of San Antonio. I rented some of the others (for example Spy Kids series) and saw practically nothing that resembled San Antonio or Texas.

"Johnny B. Goode" did have a shot of the video shop I rented the movie from the first time I watched it (located next to Murf's Burgers on San Pedro), which was kind of surreal.

The best semi-local film was Richard Linklater's "Slacker (1991)" which was filmed entirely in Austin, mostly the central areas of the city.
