Looks like a farm road.

I-10 (Dominion Drive to Ralph Fair Road - FM 3351)

Did you tell us where you are working? I don't see it in your previous thread about the 1604/281 commute. The 46 to Ralph fair to 10 route seems doable, although long. Do not settle on being out just because it's out. There are plenty of great places within a much more reasonable drive in the city.

One position is at the rim while the other is at the Alamo ranch area. The rim location accepted me, but asked if I'd be willing to help out the other location for 6 months . I'm trying to decide if I want to make that drive . the drive in this post is for my drive once house is completed. If we decide on it

3351 is not a bad drive, There is only 2 lights. One at 46 and then at 10. They are redoing the entrance and exit ramps on 10 so it should relief some of the congestion in that area. Depends on how far you are out but I would say 20 to 30 minutes to the Rim. The only concerns I would have is the slow school buses and the deer. In my opinion 3351 is 100 times better than 281 and 1604.

I would honestly look between 10 and 90 outside of 410 but inside of 1604. That would be the middle of the two. There is Shavano park and crowne ridge and some other good neighborhoods within that area. Also check google maps and set the arrival time you need. I did that for my recent move to Austin and it's been pretty dead on since I've been driving it.

This is an easy drive. From 46 to I-10 should not take more than 15-20 minutes at that time. This is an early commute corridor, so it's actually worse from 6:30-7:15 than your times. I drive that route at 6:15 most mornings and it takes 15 minutes. The speed limit is 60 on the northern part and then 55 through Fair Oaks Ranch until just before you reach the interstate when it is technically 45.

It does back up at I-10 inbound in the morning, although it should be much smoother soon when the revised access roads open up. FYI, most people refer to this road as Ralph Fair Road in the area.
