Hi we are looking to relocate to San Antonio but want a very very nice area with reasonable homes . What are some good areas with good commute near Lackland Airbase or Fort Sam . Don't really want to live in the city but in a area with beautiful views and nice homes . Any ideal . We are looking to build a home if possible .

There are so many recent threads on this topic so a search may help answer some of your questions, then you can ask more narrowed down questions if you still have any.

Everyone else wants nice views and beautiful homes. If you want to keep the view nice expect to pay a very nice price. Both fort sam and lackland are urban military bases if you are looking for a short commute understand that you will be living in the city or at least suburbia.

Your best bet would be outside the 1604 Loop. Really depends on your budget and if you are willing to commute in during peak traffic times.
