From what I understand, Martha's which opened beside them (where there was about 4 other places that failed so far) has bought the rights and is waiting for their liquor license to be granted...something about a 70+ day wait from the day you file until granted...so they wait.

While I share a disdain for country music, dont kid yourself. It's not going anywhere any time soon.

They provide us more mature folks with an escape from the youth of today thank you very much. Almost 25% of the top selling tours in 2012 were country music acts Top 25 Tours of 2012 | Billboard

Stockyards I don't think really created any buzz. I can't think of one person I know who ate there. I hope to visit the Barrios family restaurant though.

You seem extremely narrow minded and make no sense because country music is alive and well with the youth. (myself not included)

IMO there is very little country music being played anywhere anymore. Most of it is pop music with a Nashville/LA/NY production package in the mix so it will sell to the people who decide what gets played where on the commercial radio stations around the country. Most of it is about as unique as a Big Mac.

Don't kid yourself; Cowboys dance hall is extremely popular on Wednesday nights with the youth crowd and not just country youths, and I'm talking about youths who are into rock, alternative and dubstep.

Checo's on Dezavala (in strip mall across from post office) opened recently. Its next to my dentist which is how I noticed it. Went there for breakfast with the family, really enjoyed it. Excellent service and the food was great.
