Years ago, there was a place downtown called New York Style Pizza on Houston street
which was own by two Italian brothers from NYC.

I enjoyed the pizza there because of the crust which was tender.
I'm not fond if the crust is hard or rubbery.

There are many locations where the cheese and toppings are delicious. But what I look for
is a tender and tasty crust as well.

That said, the closest to the kind of pizza I enjoyed is Luciano Pizzeria.
No doubt, others will have different opinions...this is mine.

Because it's subjective. Same old back and forth...getting popcorn out.

For instance, my newest favorite neighborhood Italian Restaurant is Julian's in Sunset Ridge,6462 N. New Braunfels, 78209.

I don't think it was open in the last iteration.

Cannoli- would not touch this. I go to Little Italy in NYC.

I like them, but I don't think we have any place that makes them at least decent, and I tried few...

Not a restaurant, but I love the pizza at the new HEB on S. Flores in Southtown. They make it while you wait. The patio seating is very pleasant -- two-for-one beer during happy hour.
