10 years ago a curious person asked why this building had Stars of David. We recently went through San Antonio and my antennae went up when I was that building as well. Turns out it was a Turnverein and the stars are for the Beirmeister. WOW... LSCS asked the same question 10 years ago. I just spent weeks researching that building as a synagogue. Big Up to the person whose query put my search away.

The BX is a beautiful old building and it's a damned shame the owner doesn't have the money to get the ol' girl really sparkling again.
