me and my wife are moving to san antonio in a week or so from michigan and i like to fish just want to find some good lakes. thx,s

I used to fish at Braunig and Calaveras Lakes. I don't know how it is now, since it's been a while that I've gone fishing.

Choke Canyon State Park, Calliham Unit (Calliham, Texas) has camping sites (shelters & RV).

Great Lake!!!

HUGE Lake!!!!!

Nice nature trails.

Lots of birds / birding. (Green Jay's)

Several fishing tournaments.

Fantastic Bass fishing.

Large catfish.

Alligators.

Three Rivers has several antique / second-hand shops.

Old timey movie theater in three rivers.

Nolan Ryan's Restaurant on hwy 72 within few miles from Calliham Unit.

Two State Park Units to dock boats: Calliham Unit (with overnight camping) & South Shore Unit on hwy 72 in Three Rivers with boat dock (campsites are day use only).

about an hour from san antonio in Calliham & Three Rivers, Texas
