I was always partial to the MW at McCreless Mall. Naturally, that's the one I always went to! But, first credit provider was Shaw's Jeweler's . I was in Jr High . 14- 15 yrs. Wards had everything Sears had. Those Lazy Boy's were the first chairs I ever paid 5 or 6 hundred bucks for!!

Another memory is that Montgomery Wards began "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" They got Gene Autry to write and sing the song. It was a Christmas promotion. I don't know what year, but thanks to Montgomery Ward, we have a Christmas standard.

I still remember when it first opened and yes it felt like it was the biggest store. But the crossroads one as mentioned earlier was my favorite.

That is the coolest thing I've heard all day. The Crossroads MW was the ultimate Christmas department store as far as I'm concerned. (I've only heard stories about downtown Joske's).

I remember Joske's being the store for Christmas, but the MW at Crossroads also was not too shabby.
