And sorry, accorrding to the Census, the growth was 249,063 to 223,485 between both metros from 2000-2006.

I didn't use anything, I simply said SA grew faster between 2001-2004. I never said anything about the 2000-2006 being wrong.

Overall, yes they grew faster than SA from 2000-2006 but in April of 2005 the opposite would have been true. So why are you making such a big deal out of it?

The commuting issue would probably prevent an MSA (although if commuting is what you're going by, how many people actually commute back and forth between Dallas and Fort Worth), but why couldn't they become a CSA ala SF/San Jose or Washington/Baltimore?

A CSA would be really great for the region because instead of having two mid-sized metros, you'd have one Minneapolis-St. Paul or Seattle-sized population area. This means more business and more pro sports teams.

My first post was about the Schertz-Cibolo area.

You made the first post comparing the two metros. I simply made a comment about year to year growth.

A lot of people actually commute between Dallas and Fort Worth. For one, those two cities are closer than Austin and San Antonio, plus their city limits are only ten miles apart (in some areas). Every morning on my way to school, I-20 is packed both ways.

But how do you know they're commuting between Dallas and FW? It's not as easy as simply saying they do because the cities are closer together. Besides, I dont know where you go to school, so I don't know what part of I-20 you're talking about.

I-35 between SA and Austin is the busiest stretch of highway in TX. How do you know all of those people aren't commuting back and forth between SA and Austin?

I go to Martin High School, which is close to the Parks Mall. WFAA 8 TV always has I-20 running slow there, too. There obviously are a lot of commuters between the two, otherwise they wouldn't be an MSA.

Ok, so you're talking about Arlington. I'm not surprised the traffic is bad in the morning, as Arlington has 375,000 people living in it.
