My sister always says, "Just remember, you're sweating with a million of your closest friends."

It's hot. People sweat. Makeup slides off. People bare skin they shouldn't bare. It's all part of summer in south Texas!

Would you prefer everything being spaced out as it is at AR? You finish shopping at Target, and want to go to Best Buy. You have to pile into your four-wheeled cooker that has been basting in the heat for the past couple of hours, waste the gas to go a quarter mile, then find a parking spot and walk into the store. Honestly, I prefer la Cantera's set-up much better, and pregnant women are never happy with the weather!

Although it may be hot, it is never too hot for a professional shopper.

I guess being born and raised here I have grown accustomed to the long, hot summers...the heat really doesn't bother me much --- And I tend to agree that if one knows they are going to La Cantera and you know it's 100+ degrees out, maybe waiting until after 7pm or so, when the sun is not so intense, is the smarter thing to do...

That being said when we do go shopping at La Cantera we are truly shopping, going in and out of stores, not just window shopping...so most of our time is spent in the air conditioning anyway...walking for 5 or 10 minutes to me, even if it is 100 degrees out, is not a big deal...

I agree with Ash that misters would be a good idea to help cool people down...

In a word.... yes! La Cantera isn't the first place I think of going to when it's over 100.
