I'm not good at idenitifying plants, but I recognize that 3924 and 3925 are Texas Mountain Laurel. They'll have some nice blooms for you in the spring.

That is so exciting to know! There was one growing on our condo property in Houston, and I just loved the purple grape-like flowers. We have three of those growing along our fence here. Thanks Bowie!

Yep, pretty soon your backyard will smell like grape Kool-aid for about a week or so. Dunno why they don't bloom for long, because the smell is really pleasant! I have one in my side yard that has been a slow-grower.

Yes, I do love those! I live in Mountain Laurel country out here...never bought a single one, but have many on my property. I have blooms for longer, because some will start later than others.

I also wish that smell could last for month, or all year. I bought mine just because I love purple and the smell of grape Kool-aid. The HEB+ has them on sale for $9.99 and they're a decent size too.

as far as anything else in the picture, I can't see it because Flickr is blocked here. Should use the CD hosting to post pictures, that way everyone can see them.

Yes, what he said.

Thanks RD for the tip about the mountain laurels at HEB plus. The deer and cows won't eat them either .

I'm on my netbook, so I don't have photoshop or Corel on here...can't edit for size to embed them in the post. Sorry.

3922 almost looks like a mandevilla. The little bloom anyway--not too sure about those leaves, though. Does it appear to be a vine or more of a bush?
