I drove by there today. The address posted earlier show it being between Higgins and Jung. Is that the location? I couldn't see anything that fit the description. But I saw some construction around there. So maybe it was demolished?

It's demolished and they have no trespassing signs too.

I grew up near this house - I always loved it and wondered who lived there, it was always so mysterious. Weird to find out it was a "church" as I don't remember ever seeing anyone coming or going from the gate. The main house was just over 4,000sf but it only had 3 bedrooms - it has been demolished for 1-2 years now. However, if you look on BCAD, the property was transferred back to Mr Carter at the end of 2011. The other buildings are still listed so I would assume they are still standing and maybe they are living out of those.

If you do satellite view on google maps, it still shows the house standing - you can tell it was in disrepair. The building off to the left has construction going on, but I don't see it listed on the tax record so maybe that is not on that property(?). It has some interesting features, maybe from previous owners like the line of fences behind the tennis court, the area around the tree that looks like a cemetery, and behind the church looks like some kind of silo, one of those wheels you attach horses to that gives pony rides to kids, and a fence in a circle.

Ok, another year has past, still this property sits untouched. I drive by every day and no activity. The property to the south was sold to a landscaping company. Anyone heard anything heard anything about this mystery property over the last year????????

Looks like there was an application before the Planning Commission in August 2017 to replat it for a subdivision.

Yeah Bo - that is near the land in question but not the land in question.

So come on city of San Antonio! All this land is sitting there without paying taxes because someone filed paperwork saying it’s a church? It’s been over 10 years now! Why isn’t the city investigating them? Wouldn’t we all like to be able to rip off the city like that?????
