Looking for nice places to stay around these areas (~3 nights each) with nice views that offer peace, quiet, and comfort. Any recommendations?

Anybody know anything about a new hotel or lodge opening in Idyllwild in the Spring? (I've tried Google already.)

How many people? Are you looking for a cabin or more of a motel room?

In Big Bear, Pine Knot Guest Ranch is my favorite:

I also like Eagle's Nest B&B (not the rooms in the house but the cottage suites), Robinhood Resort (for a motel-ish room):

The only place I've stayed in Idyllwild was the Quiet Creek Inn which was wonderful:

There are just two of us and we're looking for something on the quiet side so these sound great! Ideally we'd like to rent a house with big views but that's really not cost effective given there are only two people. Thanks for the suggestions!

How about a nice mountain cabin on the Santa Ana River? The 7 Oaks cabins were recently in the news when one of them burned down after a bit of gun battle.

Yeah, I heard about that "little" incident! But was hoping for something closer to Fawnskin near Big Bear and the lake for fireworks on the 4th of July (and Idyllwild separately for a few days before). Thanks for the suggestion though!
