Hi,

I just recently moved out here to Riverside.Ca I used to live in Orange County.

What I am trying to find isn't your traditional dog bones. I'm looking more specifically for Raw cow femur's uncut. In Orange County this was no problem. Pop into the Local Stater Bros and could pick them up for free. I checked the Stater Bros out here and have learned that do to an unfortunate accident while cutting one up a few months ago (someone chopped of their fingers) the meat provider now cuts them up before shipment.

Of course I don't know if that last part is true. This is what I was told. I figured I'd post here since there have got to be others that feed their dogs Raw meat bones.

Try one of the Latino supermarkets: Cardenas, Fiesta, Vallarta. Or a carneceria.

It's not a good idea to feed any leg bones from a cow (any large animal for that matter), because they're much too hard, even raw, and can break your dog's teeth if he gets a little too enthusiastic.
