At this point, even hunting unfortunately doesn't make a noticeable difference it seems. The only thing that comes out of it is the experience of the hunt and a nice pelt. Coyotes are certainly tricky little bastards. It's more humans though; not in the way most people look at it however. We have a responsibility to maintain our place at the top of the food chain, and in many places - especially California - that isn't happening. Too many anti-hunting views today.

Plus, shooting problem animals is much cheaper than building a fence. Sorry liberals, I'm opting for the cheaper and eco-efficient alternative.

I think one would have as much luck creating this as creating a cat-proof fence. Ain't gonna' happen ....

You can get a roller fence but it needs to be at least 8 or 10 ft. They can't drag your cat or dog off with the 5 but they can still jump in to kill it.

Not having any Coyote problems, but these goddamn raccoons are sure on my last nerve. Are BB guns illegal in California too? I sure hope not.

I hear you about the raccoons!!! In our last house we had a Koi pond and a raccoon had a feast on some very expensive fish. We tried to scare him off but he was not about to let us bother his meal.
Where we live now our neighbor has an apricot tree that he said the raccoons were loving.
