Hi everyone, I will be attending USC at the San Diego Academic Center for my MSW starting in August. I am looking for an apartment in San Diego that is located close or within a short commuting distance to Rancho Bernardo where the center is located. I am 23 years old. I would like an area that does not have a lot of college kids as I am mostly going to be studying and school is my main priority. What would you suggest? Also, does anyone have any suggestions of apartment complexes? In my search many of them have bad reviews.

Thank you!

What's your rental budget? Will you have a car?

Rancho Bernardo is not college central, so anywhere near there could be a consideration for not being where college kids hang out. There are, of course, other considerations.

It's can be useful to look at apartment reviews, but look at them with a grain of salt. People who have a complaint are much more likely to review than people who are contented. If you name specific complexes, someone here may have additional information to what you're seeing.
