Ok, I just want good neighbors near me, but this house is nice, too, $324,900 and just listed: 3631 Cerro Ave, Oceanside, CA 92056 | MLS# 110045017 The schools are Breeze Hill Elementary, Madison Middle, and Rancho Buena Vista High, but we like the district's science magnet, Casita, better than Breeze Hill. We're especially looking for neighbors with a third grade daughter to be friends with ours! The back yard is on the Calavera preserve, so you can just go out a back gate and walk to Calavera lake in 5 minutes.

janineg,

Thats looks like a great house! If I hadnt bought mine recently, this would have been one that I would have seriously looked at.

Looks like a great neighborhood too.

The neighborhood is nice, and the prices are pretty good around here. There are no HOAs, which I like, but it does mean that not all the houses are kept up. There are lots of younger families moving in, lots of toddler boys, but we need more older girls!

Thanks for sharing. The location looks pretty sweet. The home is pretty nice too, but I wouldn't want the ponds and fish in the back yard.

You'd have to wait for 6 more years for me to have a third grade girl, but I'd consider the area in the future when it's time to head to the San Diego area.

I love looking at CA houses!

Default Nice house in my Oceanside neighborhood now for sale

I love how proactive you are! The saying goes that neighbors sell houses and you are living proof. I'm sure your neighbor's Realtor loves you! I hope you get wonderful new neighbors soon.

I'm hoping for great neighbors with kids, too! I asked the seller (who is flipping the house) if he's gotten any offers and he said that he's gotten multiple. I was wondering because the people that I talked to after looking at the house kept mentioning that they weren't sure about the ponds (the flipper really should have taken them out), but I guess some people were willing to overlook them or even liked them.

Hard to believe you can still flip a home now a days. Honestly, it is a nice home but to pricey for Oceanside and only 1400sq ft.

Sure you can flip a home. They are flipping like mad in southeast SD. Granted the profits are not the same as 4 or 5 years ago but they are still happening.

Contrary to popular belief, there are nice parts of O'side and the prices are reflective of that. 300k to live 10-15 mins to the Pacific Ocean in a safe neighborhood sure seems to be fair. A total bargain? No. But fair. Remember you are also buying your neighbors as well since its not HOA. If the OP was kind enough to care about her community by posting here, I dont see how that can be seen as a devaluation when looking at house specs.
