Hi Guys,
I plan to vacation in San Diego sometime in July. I was researching hotels for the 9th through the 13th & started to notice that availability was limited. Upon further research I found out that Comic-Con starts on the 12th. I've tried to find out about conventions and the like in July but am unable to find much info. Can y'all help me with this, please. Is there a good website that would give the info I'm looking for?
Any and all help is appreciated.

The San Diego Convention Center has an event calendar on it's website:

Don't expect to get tickets to Comicon or find a reasonable hotel accommodation during that time. Maybe you can come at another time, San Diego will still be here when you're ready.

Comic-con is the biggest event on San Diego's calendar. No other event will affect hotel availability the way this one will.

Thanks everybody. If Comic-Con is the biggest draw, then I'll be fine.

With no hotel/motel availability, you won't be fine. The room rates go up dramatically during Comic-Con week, because people are willing to pay the rate.

You may want to consider another time to visit.

I'll be fine because I'll choose anytime other than Comic-Con.

Not sure what part of San Diego you are hoping to stay in while on vacation but opening day at The Del Mar Racetrack begins on the 18th of July, another event that will cause room rates to be steep. You might want to try www.VRBO.com which is the vacation home rental website...have found many good reasonable deals on it. July is a great time to come as "June Gloom" (the foggy days) should be over and the weather should be beautiful.
