Its not LA traffic yet but it does seem we are going in that direction
I now take Mission Gorge to Jackson Drive to Navajo and shave almost 10 mins off of my commute home.
The 163 south to the 8 east have now become a nightmare after 3:30 pm, throw in a accident and it becomes complete chaos.

Had to pick up the wife's new car from S Bay and since she doesn't get home until 530 we just waited until 7 as we knew it would be bad. Still backed up at the 94.

I have to go from San Marcos to Pacific Beach Monday through Thursday at 4:30. Every day it is quicker for me to go out of my way to take the 15 than to go more directly taking the 5. Once I get off the 76, it is pretty much free riding on the 15 until I hit the 52 (maybe 1 out of 5 times it gets congested a few miles before then). 15 South is the way to go (at least until you get to the 8 - - can't speak about what happens after that).

I seems as if traffic is starting to get worse earlier and it last longer into the evening, on just about every freeway, the 805-S is one of them. At 6 pm there's still a major backup on the 805 S and 8 E.

At 2 to 2:30 cars start quickly filling up the 15, and 805 than in any other time that I can remember. 10 years ago it was never like this. Traffic was building maybe around 3 to 4 pm back then, but now it's like if you plan to go anywhere in the afternoon, you must prepare and possibly leave the house way ahead of schedule.

San Diego has traffic everywhere now, street traffic especially has gone up all across the county and it is out right ridiculous depending on where you live.

Does anybody work anymore or what? How come theres so many damn people on streets in the middle of the day?

Is the increase in part-timers to blame for the uptick in traffic?
