Holeeee snikes! I almost hit a HUGE Rattler on Fiesta with my bicycle. It scooted off or I may have tried to eliminate it. I usually won't mess with them because they eat lots of rodents but this one was right by the dog park and dogs are too curious to ignore. I gave a warning to a few dog owners to be on the lookout. It's the first one I've seen in broad daylight near the Beach.

We've been seeing them pretty frequently. There was one in the middle of Hwy 76 yesterday. He was still very much alive when DH went around him, but I think the pickup in back of us hit him. He was HUGE!
Enzo goes to Rattlesnake Avoidance classes in a few weeks. I think I'd rather deal with the coyotes than the Rattlers!

I bought snake gaiters for when I'm in the Mountains. They'll be on every time this year.

Haven't seen any so far but grew up with them. Be extra careful right now. The young one are coming out and, in general, the Rattlers always seem more abundant in Spring and they seem more, for lack of a better word, touchy this time of year.

Snake avoidance classes for your dogs is not a bad idea.

When one lives in an urban area, what do you do when you find a rattlesnake? Is there an agency that you call to relocate them?
