Very Remote means "it's a done deal" here in San Diego

Quote:
The Raiders have been all set to move to Las Vegas in 2020. But recently, news came out that the city of Oakland could sue the Raiders, forcing them to move sooner than their stadium is expected to be ready in Vegas. Now, the team is forced to look at other options for the 2019 season.
One of those options includes San Diego. The team has reached out to San Diego officials, according to CBS Los Angeles, which cited a report from Jason La Canfora. La Canfora cautioned that “the likelihood of them ever playing an interim game there – much less a full season – is very remote.”

Let them play at the Rose Bowl.... see how their attendance in LA fares against the Chargers and the Rams.

I can't stand the Raiders, but I would chuckle at them playing in SD. A huge middle finger to Spanos and the Mayor.

This is a VERY shrewd business move by the Raiders. The Raiders will likely be welcomed with open arms by many scorned Chargers fans. The Raiders would cultivate San Diego as a secondary market, stick it to the Chargers, and get a place to play for the season. SMART.

They would still kill the Rams and Chargers in attendance.
LA was and always will be Raider Country

The Raiders could easily sell out SDCCD Stadium, they have for many years.

This a Raider Charger game from 2015 and i don't see many Chargers fans

The Raiders stadium in Las Vegas is already under construction, I drove past it a couple weeks ago while in Vegas on vacation. I doubt that they would go to a different city

There are Raiders fans in LA but from my observations it seems it’s mostly people in south LA.

Here's a quote from the original post to help clarify things:

"The Oakland Raiders approached San Diego officials about relocating there next season before the team’s permanent move to Las Vegas the following season when the new stadium is completed."

Now I get it, sort of like how when the Houston Oilers moved to Tennessee, they had to play their first season in Memphis because the stadium in Nashville was still under construction
