Default WOW.. Trying to find a nice rental in encinitas is a Bi*ch !!!

I'm venting to anyone that is listening. My husband and I are tying to rent a home/condo for $2500 - $3100 in the Cardiff/ Encinitas area that is a "little" updated. Can you believe that we lost two that we were interested in, and get this...... we even offered $200.00 more a month and still lost.......!
We have great credit ,and have been home owners in Atlanta for the past 5 years. Their must be a lot of high paying, good credit people moving to this area .?
WTF !!!

Happened to us as well. Lost out on some nice ones in Encinitas/Cardiff/Leucadia and ended up in Mission Hills. For the same price (same range as you), we got a much better rental in MH - a real yard, detached guest house, more charming house, very good commutes, cool temperate weather and coastal breezes, close to all beaches, and classic true suburban non-tract neighborhood, and good public school.

Thanks for the info Bloom. My husband will be working at Scripps Encinitas, and we want to give up 1 car in order to save money for a house (I mean save the earth wink wink) . I'm a stay at home mom with a two year old so we need to stay close to the Hospital.

Check out Cardiff's composer district, though for more diversity, Leucadia or Encinitas proper, west of 5 is best.
