Look at San Diego. Only gained 587 during the 2008-'09 year to 1,306,301 . But the US Census Bureau has made a revision (when it's not supposed to). It really let San Diego's population go down just by a little (only 1 person) to 1,306,300. Woah, can it do that?

San Diego population 2008 = 1,279,329
San Diego population 2008 challenge = 1,305,754
San Diego population 2009 = 1,306,301
San Diego population 2009 revision = 1,306,300

I checked the other cities list. They looked exactly the same as when they were released .

So now the largest cities population list looks like this for 2009:

1. New York 3,891,881
2. Los Angeles 3,831,868
3. Chicago 2,851,268
4. Houston 2,257,926
5. Phoenix 1,593,639
6. Philadelphia 1,547,297
7. San Antonio 1,373,668
8. San Diego 1,306,300
9. Dallas 1,299,542
10. San Jose 964,695

Ok, so you see a big revision for Phoenix, right? Used to be 1,601,587. Maybe the rumor of the loss Phoenix experienced is real.

Sorry, I don't participate in threads where the font is so minuscule that I'm liable to get a headache trying to read it.

Or where emoticons are grossly abused and overused ...

If it's not the official decennial census data, then any information provided by the Bureau of the census is an estimate. Any estimate is subject to revision as new data comes in, and one estimate will be discarded for the new estimate. However, the final decennial census data is the official count and can't be revised.

And thanks for the larger font. It really DOES help.
