Sonoma is a cute little town, albeit not the least expensive option in Sonoma County. It is also a bit sleepy by most people's standards, but if that's what you are looking for then that's great.
It is not the easiest commute into Sf but it is not the worst either.
If you could be more specific, we could be more helpful.

Default Sonoma

Thank you so much for your reply!
If we would like to live in a rural like place will Sonoma be a good option? Is there close to Sonoma that we can also consider?
Do you know any details about schools in Sonoma too?
When you say it's not an easy comute to SF, do you mean it's an hour an half buy car, (what we heard), or we should consider something more?

Anything you know about the city will be helpful!

and Thank you so much again!!

Just out of curiosity what made you consider it if you didn't know anything about it? Wine bottle labels?

It's probably an hour at least from Sonoma to SF, probably more especially during rush hour and depending on whether you drive or take a commuter bus.

Sonoma is a quiet historic town with a mission built in the 1800's and a nice town square\ park surrounded by restaurants\ shops. Sonoma is a nice town many people would like to live in plus it is near larger towns [Santa Rosa] or San Francisco if you want to visit a large city.
