I'm looking to live near a community that has a lot going on in the spiritual community involving yoga, metaphysics, dance, and the arts.

I don't want to live in a place that is busy like a city but perhaps near one that boasts a lot of natural beauty. The catch is I would like a place with a good 20-30's population.

Think you could help me out?
What do you think of Sausalito? Is it touristy?

Thanks : )

There are places you can take yoga classes all over the Bay Area. Lots of them have dance studios and various art things like galleries. I really can't think of any city in the Bay Area that is known as being particularly artistic or metaphysical or whatever because pretty much everywhere has the same level of consciousness about stuff like that. Maybe look at some of the small towns around Napa and Sonoma county but more rural areas won't have as much of what you're looking for.

Yes Sausalito is very touristy. A lot of people in Marin strike me as old hippies who made money in banking or law, Marin is very wealthy even by Bay Area standards.

Could check out the Santa Cruz area but it's mainly students at the college there, there's not many jobs there.

I second Santa Cruz, employment needs being considered as well. Perhaps the Mendicino coast. Lots of that stuff there as well but probably not as many young. Might want to look as high as Arcata, although it's also a university town. Numerous possibilities.
